12 x 300 PCB with 3528 LEDs
This is constant voltage (CV) 12x300mm long, 2 layers firm PCB with low power standard 3528 LED chips. The constant voltage LED stripe is turn into the constant current led stripe (CC) within one module which also are parallel connected with the man voltage supply bus. This advantage of that solution gives us the homogenous light stability in long lines because each module is supplied independently and is driven by the CC LED driver. The constant voltage is turn into the constant current by dedicated Infineon LED drivers in each module often used in automotive under harsh condition. The supply current is set by default to 20 mA and can be regulated by the sense resistor. The voltage fluctuation do not mater due the wide range of operating of the driver which deliver constant current to each LED. The LEDs works under pleasant condition not overdrive by increased current due higher operating temperature. Constant current supply solution provided by the LED driver avoids the thermal overstress and therefore increase the lifetime of the LEDs. The power consumption of the led driver is much smaller then the ordinary resistors and do not generate that much heat. The driver is negative temperature coefficient what in practice means that the temperature do not effect the value of the supply current.
